The Greater Baton Rouge Children's Chorus will conduct auditions for the 2009-2010 season Saturday, August 15 at Baton Rouge Little Theater, 7155 Florida Blvd. Auditions are by appointment only and open to public, private and homeschooled boys and girls in grades 4-10. There is no charge to audition. 

GBRCC has been offering choral education since 1997 and is known for its highly eclectic and artistic repertoire as well as its collaboration with professional performing artists and composers in the area. Jennifer Ellis, a voice teacher, certified music educator, and performer, directs the chorus. GBRCC presents its own choral concerts during the season, collaborates with other arts organizations, and performs at community functions. GBRCC has performed with the Baton Rouge Symphony, Baton Rouge Ballet Theater, Baton Rouge Little Theater, and past concerts have been presented at the Manship Theatre, the Old State Capitol, and at the LSU School of Music as guests of the Louisiana Sinfonietta. 

GBRCC’s mission is to unite children in the community, building not only musical, but also character skills through choral singing and performance. GBRCC is a nonprofit ensemble and is nto affiliated with any single organization, school or religious group.
